Brief Background: Often described as "Tall and Lordy", Celeborn ruled as Lord of Lorien during the Second and Third Ages with his wife Galadriel, the Lady of Light. He wed Galadriel in Doriath, and fled with her to Arvernien after Doriath's fall. Shortly before the beginning of the Second Age, they came to Lothlorien and there they settled, spending many centuries peacefully within their majestic woodland realm. Celeborn's daughter, Celebrian, choose to reside in Rivendell with her husband, Elrond, and it was there that Celeborn's granddaughter Arwen was born. During the War of the Ring, Celeborn led the Army of Lorien to Dol Guldur, which fell to their might.

After the War of The Ring, Celeborn remained in Middle Earth for a short time but, without Galadriel by his side, he soon grew bored and finally sailed to the Undying Lands to be with her.
